Don't forget if you intend to take a gap year to look at the Deloitte Scholars Scheme. They can offer you a travel bursary of around £1,500 plus an annual bursary of £1,500 each academic year through university, as well as paid work placements. Visit their website at www.deloitte.co.uk/scholars.

Portsmouth Cathedral and the associated Grammar School are seeking to appoint a number of gap-year students each September to the posts of Choral Scholars in the cathedral choir and Departmental Assistants at the Grammar School. The appointments run for the school year. It's a great springboard to other choral scholarships at some of the Oxbridge colleges.
