This is where you detail your choices of universities and the subjects you want to study. You'll have to have researched this very carefully as you need to enter the UCAS codes not only for the universities of your choice, but also the UCAS codes for the specific course in each choice. This is also the section where you tick the box for deferred entry if you want to take a gap year. Click here for information on gap years. Some universities require information about your college choice. Some courses require further information eg: your choice of a subsidiary subject. This is made clear in the information about the course.
Very straightforward, enter details of the secondary schools you have attended since age 11 (this does not include prep schools) with dates.
You can't complete this section until you have done number 3 above. It simply won't let you put the data in unless you have filled in the schools. Work through your qualifications chronologically. Start with your GCSEs then your A levels. You'll need to know your exam boards: click here for a full listing of Exam boards used by Tonbridge School. Tick the first box relevant to you e.g.GCSE and then it takes you to the next window to fill in the details of your GCSEs. Go back to the main menu and do the same for your other qualifications. You do not need to put down your ASs, but you will need to put the A levels you will take next summer (A2s). These go in with a forward date and the grade (obviously) has to be "pending". Don't forget to add music exams under "ABRSM" and also your ECDL.
Filling in modules: you are not required to enter the modules you have take towards your A2s (your ASs). If however your grades are good and you wish to, you can enter the modules as part of the full A2 and enter the grades. Otherwise just put a future date when you will take the full A2 and the subject.
If you have any international qualifications which are not listed, go to the International section, then other, and then type in the name of the course manually.
Only fill this in if you have had paid employment.
This has a drop down menu with categories for you to select, and then a text box for you to fill in details of any special needs or support you may need.
This is the place on the form where you show your enthusiasm for your subject, and really get to sell yourself. It will take the longest and you need to do it thoughtfully and carefully. Click here for detailed help with your personal statement. Print it out and check it thoroughly with your housemaster and another adult, and don't mark this as complete until you are sure that it is perfect.
Read carefully through the declarations, before you tick and then when you are sure your form is perfect, and not before, click "Pay and Send". You will not be able to do this unless your form is complete. If you are a Post A level candidate we ask that you use a credit/debit card to pay the £15 online.
Let your housemaster know that you have submitted your form to the Universities and Careers adviser, then he will paste in your reference online.
